Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze was born on August 18, 1952 in the USA. He was born to be a star. He was a dancer, a singer and an actor. He became famous for his role in Dirty Dancing and Ghost.
He died yesterday, September 14, 2009. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2008 after falling ill in the previous month. He really fought the disease, but cancer is almost always a sentence of death.
I'm pretty sure you guys didn't have the chance to see many of his movies, but I really recommend "Dirty Dancing" and "Point Break". The first one is a romance and the second, an action film.

Over the Hill....

Yesterday I discovered (if anybody jokes about that, I'll talk to Angelo!!!) that I'm getting old... On April 4th 1994 Kurt Cobain died and I was already there, not only as an espectator, but as a participant because I was "grunge" at that time.
Do you believe that this Saturday will be the 15th anniversary of his death?! Oh, God, I'm getting old...)

For the ones that did not take part in the grunge movement, here comes a video for the sake of the date...

Come on people!!

Well, it's being a long time since nobody post anytinhg, so... I'm here to try...
The first thing is that I couldn't acess ( I have no idea how to write that!!!) the cultura inglesa's site, and I don't know why!!
And now I think I'm going to say a few things about last class!!
We talked about how to describe yourself if you want to participate in a reality show and other things!!
OH!!! and I realy want to give the good news that a few people already now:
This weekend I played a play in a festival ("sexta mostra intercolegial de teatro" from Notre Dame), and gess what?
we won the second place!!! ("segundo melhor espetáculo aadulto"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Now I realy don't have anything to say, so...

Last class we received the result of the tests, we talked about pentagono's teachers and talked about weddings. So I decided to post here a part of a wedding cerimony of a couple that a love very much.
They met 8 seasons ago on the TV series ER which is in its final season.
Here you will see the exchange of vows of Luka and Abby. It very beautiful and for the ones who have been following this TV series for so many years it was very expected moment that touched many hearts!!

Happy Birthday

I know you don't care, but today is Vitor's birthday, and I had nothing better to do, so I came here to post and wish him all the best :)
